The International Day Against Homophobia, held on May 17 every year, is a rallying event offering an opportunity for people to get together and reach out to one another. The International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia and encourages organizations and individuals to highlight this event in their environment.

This year, we will be hosting a Pride Flag Raising ceremony, at the Municipality of Chatham Kent at NOON on May 17th.

Later on in the evening we invite you to Mamma Maria’s downtown Chatham, for a dinner get together. Dinner will be at 630pm; bills will be separate per person. We hope to see you out there for a night of socializing.

Chatham-Kent Pride – Camping Weekend 2012

June 15th to June 17th, 2012 – Clearville Campground; Clearville, Ontario

A bold and fiery start, Chatham Kent Pride kicks off a new year of events and festivities with our Pride Camping Weekend!

This year will be far more than your average camping weekend, taking events from our traditional camping weekend and bringing on board new events, and a more energized family oriented experience.

From June 15th to June 17th, at the Clearville Park and Campground located in Clearville, Ontario; the weekend will be open to the family, friends, and anyone else who decides to make the trip with you. This family friendly campground has been preserved off of the shores of Lake Erie, and provides numerous amenities for everyone.

We would like to welcome everyone out to our camping weekend. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Friday, June 15th, 2012 night will host a group bonfire with S’mores and more for the whole family. We also will host a movie to enjoy. Pack your cameras, because it is bound to be an evening of memories with us.

Saturday, June 16th, 2012 will kick off with a Polar Dip for the early risers in the morning; then bringing together a beach volleyball tournament in the afternoon. The evening will be full of entertainment with music and activities for everyone.

Sunday, June 17th, 2012 continues early in the morning for another Polar Dip with the early risers. Then enjoy the rest of the day on the beach for everyone.

Share your pride this year with our whole family, celebrating this year with the mindset of creating activities for everyone, no matter whom you are, or where you come from.

This is an annually fundraising event the cost of attending the entire weekend is $25 each person or the option of an $85 group rate (no more then 5 people in each group). All proceeds will be contributed to the Chatham-Kent Pride Organization, to continue to support the events and outreach in the Chatham-Kent Community.
